Conventions

• Keep source artefacts alongside transcribed markdown notes where practical.
• Prefer one note per source document or tightly related record set.
• Preserve uncertainty honestly rather than over-cleaning handwritten or ambiguous historical material.
• Add new entries in chronological catalogue order where possible.
